New To Lake Okeechobee

Last March , 2009 I was on the Big O for a very dissappointing week, end of March because of the wind. I will try to fish that lake again in January of 2010. I will be staying at a Campground in the Clewiston area. Any helpful hints for a first time, ( actually a 2nd) on the lake would be much appreciated.
